Club chess on Wednesdays 3
About this list
Wednesday is a short list but a busy one. SG Turm Leipzig trains in Grünau from five, children and young people until seven outside the school holidays and adults until nine; its club championship of 2026/27 opened on 23 September within that training. In Halle the PostTurnSportVerein holds its club evening from six to nine and opens it to anyone with an interest in chess.
Near Grimma the SG Blau-Weiß Altenhain trains its youth every second Wednesday at its club house from a quarter to five until a quarter past six, in addition to its Friday group in town. The PostTurnSportVerein also holds a yearly tournament of its own, the Parkfest tournament, played on 6 September 2026, with the next edition dated 5 September 2027.
